piercings..........can you compete???

Recommended Posts

I started off in the piercing game years ago, before it became a fashion accessory, and there's more to it than "my cock's bigger than yours" it was a guy called fakur that brought it to to the likes of us and, the guy was a legend to the purists (spelling?) of this culture, when he died a huge convention was held, and believe me it weren't for the faint hearted................

Tattos, piercings, brandings, are just a sign of the times, people reclaiming themselves and their bodies.........we have a choice in it, some tribes are only recognised by what piercings, tattoos or brandings they have..........

Look at it this way.............the antis say we're c**ts for what we do and believe in.............do you wanna be someone who, for lack of understanding, slates somebody for having a tattoo, piercing or branding????????

:clapper: Well said...x

as far as branding being painful ... ever burned yourself with a hot iron while pressing shirts? i would imagine its about the same feeling only over a larger part of your body.....

it probably depends on who is having it done! some women say losing their virginity didnt hurt, some say it did. some people say tattooing doesnt hurt, others say it did.. ear piercings? same thing. mixed opinions and different levels of pain threshold.

as for me... its not something i'm interested in doing because i AM a complete sissy when it comes to pain! there's only one thing on me thats been pierced, and yeah it hurt like hell lol

i wouldnt condemn or call names at someone who wanted to look like that.... but you have to think about why they do it that extreme... hello! attention maybe? you think??

In some cases maybe,.........but there's always a parasite that wants recognition, but if you're into that sort of thing, there's a whole community and it works on the same principles as any other group, you have talkers and walkers!!!! only difference is that in the world of true body art, its plain who talks and who walks.................. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

Im not interested in getting a branding...i burnt myself with hot fat whilst cooking and that hurt sooo much i dont want to feel that again for a very long time if ever....hehe, i am just intrigued to hear from someone who has got one......

And i completley agree over the pain threshold thing.......when i did have my peircings they didnt really hurt barring one which was possibly the most painful experience to date...lol.............and same goes for my tattoos...........some of them hurt..not unbearable but certain points i found myself gritting my teeth through the pain..but others didnt......like you said just depends on the person....

aint that the truth, only i would be more of a runner than a walker lol :tongue2:

i have a cousin in Cocoa Beach that was married to a tattoo artist. she might still be, i dont know. they split up, then got back together, then split up and .. well i lost track.... i would say i could email her and ask about the branding thing but i doubt she'd answer it lol far to busy with her social life and what not ;)

In my youth, a pretty well spent one, i was fortunate enough to become friends with some people that were pionering (spelling?) the art of piercing at the time..........my mate was the most recognised piercer in the south and made his million and then retired to some exotic beach......but whilst he was still heavily in the market and branding was starting to rear its head, the problems they were having, was all about maintaining a constant heat whilst tracing a pattern, so as to keep a consistant scar!!!!!!!!!

I dont know really, the ones we played about with, varied massively...depending on body location, tissue type etc etc,

exactly! lol like i said, i'm not into pain :D but i am into paint

There's a saying in the tattoo world......

"The only difference between someone who has tattoos and someone who doesn't, is that a tattooed person doesn't care if you're not tattooed"

I guess this carries onto the piercing peeps too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe so but i think that depends on the individual and if they ARE part of a community. 've had conversations with tattooed people about this stuff. some of them DO care..

i just know it isnt for me :victory:

and as far as piercings go... i cant even wear a simple bracelet because i'm always reaching into cages, between fence wire, climbing in and out of wooded and brushy areas.... i would be ripped to shreds if i had piercings! theyd all be yanked off in a day lol

ETA there is one thing though. i wouldnt ever mind designing tattoos. that would actually be kinda fun.

this is more my kinda body art

bodypaint_5.jpg

zodiac_body_paint_12.jpg lol thats my sign too, how cute?!

Forget the elephant,- but i'd have a go at that sort of painting, i'm sure i could learn with practice.

Got tattoo's myself,- didn't hurt really. The one on my hand cost me two good jobs though, in the past. So anyone thinking of getting a tattoo, think about jobs in later life.
