Mr_Logic 5
tbh I think it's mainly the odd one, I was at Bisley this afternoon and it behaved itself well, no jams at all. Still love that trigger, too Quote Link to post
hairybull 3
Ive got a T3 .223 very happy with it; put a few hundred rounds a week through it for a few months and never faulted it. I have a Weaver grandslam scope on it 4-14x40. Am getting a bigger rifle atm and wouldnt have had a problem getting the same set-up again (although have decided to spend a bit more this time Have used the Ruger s/s for quite some time a few years back and loved it too. quicksilver 0
i am also looking at getting a .223 for foxes. I looked at the steyr prohunter and it looked well engineered etc but a little pricy at £950. I dont want to pay more for a rifle than i need to as it means less £££ i can put into the scope etc. What are the views on heavy barrels and do they make much difference to the overall accuracy for field hunting. I also dont want to go down a similar route to the .17hmr where i bought a gun then had to buy a custom trigger and now am looking at extra £100+ to get it screw cut for a mod. So any information on triggers when recommending makes of .223 would be appreciated. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
best thing you can do is go to a shop with a good stock of 223 rifles and see what you like the feel of. tikka's are nice rifles i would have one if i was after 223 but saying that the remmingtons are nice to and have lots of add ons. sako are top rifles and superb in build but wont be any more accurate. i have a winchester and there worth a look there well build and can be had for good prices Quote Link to post
