Colhane 0
I shot this video (no pun intended) this afternoon showing a technique I use to get fast close range hits using the front sight hood as my sight. I was wondering if anyone else out there does this. It works very well for me and also translates over to other guns I own back in the US that have the same sight set-up (SKS and AK-47 to be specific). It is a very fast way to get on target. I do most of my air rifle shooting here in Brazil to keep myself sharp for trips back home. Getting Fast Hits with an Air Rifle Mac Quote Link to post

If I may, and its not meant as a derogatory comment but more as pointer for anyone new to the sport, I was always taught and I believe it is good practise to always close the gun to barrel whilst keeping the muzzle pointed at the ground or at least on an angle towards it. Two reasons, the first is that a loose pellet in the breach will not fall out as was common with some of the old Webleys, 2nd and more importantly is that if the air rifle goes off then it is less likely to cause injury or damage. Just a pointer, hope you dont take it the wrong way. Quote Link to post
