well it was my good mate maxhardcore that thought it up, some of the rounds would have been on our ground in the dales.

whats all this 30 -40 peps going out  use your heads fellas, just 2 men 2 dogs and 1 judge. so only 3 people in total out at night. then a 2-3 hour time limit. then run for run on rabbits only. so after the allowed time. both dogs have had the exact same runs. the dog with the most in the bag wins :victory:

the final was going to be run up in soctland, the land and 2-3 days acomadation had been kindly given by a genuin hunting fella.

yes tis a shame it never got off, i was looking forward to my trip up scotland for the final :clapper: TOMO

yep thats the one i was on about, looks like it would've been you and me in the final tomo....... :tongue2::tongue2::tongue2: ........... we can all dream guys, it didnt come off last time and i doubt it will do this season either, but it would be a good DVD, we could raise some money for a worth while charity......like the RSPCA or something.......:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

haha well thats you and tomo in the first leg give somone else a chance in the final .nice to see lol confident people :D

if you make a draw like a knock out competition, then the two people drawn against each other make there own plans for the night. you then report the scores back to the organizers. and so on in the semi fianls then the final.

this would mean that you draw people from certain parts of the country against each other. so you get the best dogs from each part of the country left. this would mean that anyone in the uk can take part. example:

each county county has to compete against each other in a separate competition to put forward the best dog form each county.

................................................but who would in the right mind would try and organize this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think it will have to be taken as more of a laugh then a competitive comp as there will soon be remarks about the number of rabbits and the types of running ground etc from different parts of england. we will have to try and get someone from the different countys with a video camera who is prepared to shoot footage which maybe difficult.

i will be willing to edit the footage and create menus covers etc for a good dvd.

you're more on about the lurcher field trials mate, when this was first talked about it was purely lamping to keep it simple..ie....same amount of runs alternate slips, each man slips his own dog, most rabbits in the bag wins, even trying to just do this had people coming out the woodwork, with different people trying to get certain rules involved, just makes it more confusing!!!!!!

The last time it was mentioned, people were gonna pay £50 in and the pot would be split up more for the winner, then second and some set aside for a DVD to be made, if i remember correctly it was gonna be capped at a 32 dog stake!!!!!
