bez 0
its a great idea lads i remember a few years ago i went up to scotland for the finals of the field trials with adie godfrey from lincoln.he won at chatsworth with his dog sam he was against the best dogs from wales and scotland and he maaged to win up there was a great few days Quote Link to post
LDR 29
well it was my good mate maxhardcore that thought it up, some of the rounds would have been on our ground in the dales. whats all this 30 -40 peps going out  use your heads fellas, just 2 men 2 dogs and 1 judge. so only 3 people in total out at night. then a 2-3 hour time limit. then run for run on rabbits only. so after the allowed time. both dogs have had the exact same runs. the dog with the most in the bag wins the final was going to be run up in soctland, the land and 2-3 days acomadation had been kindly given by a genuin hunting fella. yes tis a shame it never got off, i was looking forward to my trip up scotland for the final TOMO A COUPLE OF YEAR AGO IT COULD OF BEEN DONE, WE HAD THE LAND AND RABBIT NUMBERS TO RUN A FEW ROUNDS OFF, NOW ID SAY WE'D STRUGGLE? IF SOMEONE WERE TO TRY AGAIN ID RECOMEND £50-£100 PRE PAID ENTERY FEE NON REFUNDABLE NO MATTER WHAT EXCUSE TO WEED OUT THE MESSERS , EVENTUAL WINNER GETS 70% OF THE MONNIES RUNNER UP 30% THE REST FECK ALL , A START DATE, A FINAL DATE, THE TWO DRAWN AGAINST EACH OTHER PLUS A JUDGE PREFEABLEY ON PERMISSION, A SET TIMESCALE FOR NIGHTS LAMPING ALTERNATE EQUAL AMOUNT OF SLIPS MUT WITH MOST BUNNIES AFTER SET GIVEN TIME PROGRESSES, DOG ONCE OFF LEAD CONSTITUTES A SLIP, ONE SLIP ONE RUN, IF DOG CATCHES OR MISSES AND GETS ONTO ANOTHER BUNNY IT DONT COUNT, EASY ENOUGH RULES , COULD BE GOOD BUT IL LET SOMEONE ELSE ORGANISE IT. A KNOCKOUT TILL YOU HAVE TWO FINALISTS, IF IT TOOK OFF MAYBE IAN B WOULD RECORD IT WHEN RAN ON PERMISSION, MY TIP IS IF FIT A POODLE TO WIN. 32 dog stake, £100 entry, whats 70% of £3200 would be a nice purse!!!! TOMO 26,067
NO WAY YOU WOULD NOT CATCH ME ORGANISING SUCH A THING. it was your idea max i think you should do it. i think like longdog, there would be so many making excuses or trying to change things. but like last time i am happy to judge heats of peps i dont know , so long as its not to far. LDR 29
easiest way to do it would be 1st 32 £50 or £100 pounds paid gets to run, those who are in give their county of residence, those closest are drawn against each other for the first few rounds to for want of a name find a regional champ so to speak and to cut down on travel, as it gets down to the nitty gritty then participants still in will have to travel, some land will hold big amounts of rabbits so someone may go thru with a score of 30 to 23 , some land not so many and someone may win thru 9 against 5 after the 2 hours of competition time, different land may suit different dogs thats tough. So come on TOMO get organising 32 dogs ie 16 PAIRS in first round, 8 PAIRS second round, 4 PAIRS in quatre finals, 2 pairs in semi finals, then the FINAL pair. ONLY 5 ROUNDS INCLUDING THE FINAL, if someone cant put that together to be ran from oct to jan they are not trying. should the organiser be allowed to take part?? firstly a set entrance fee needs to be sorted out, so what would people want to pay in.....£50 or £100, it makes sense for the fees to go into the huntinglife paypal account so nobody does one with the money??? TOMO 26,067
dont worry longdog, if max or fieldmarshal organise it , they wont have a hope of winning Quote Link to post
