Guest dotty
well you lot clearly have big fallow. on my farm the herds are at the 40-60 mark and are not hard to get hold of if your trying. however, i wouldn't know about any of that. Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
I have seen fallow deer straight line fast dogs more than once, they turn quite well for big animals and jump for fun without stumbling and falling as much as a roe would under pressure. Quote Link to post
lucky 578
deer are'nt really my "cuppa tea" but i dont mind the odd one when things are quiet, heres a fine example of a fallow buck i photographed down grantham last year.... Quote Link to post

Joe1302 0
seen some big fallow down here Edited July 31, 2008 by Joe1302 Quote Link to post
stormrider8 59
my dog would do to much damage, wont hold 1, massacres game. will hopefully be getting a trophy(shot obviously) will show you then. might be able to post an old pick of my dads, will ask. I know what you mean about the deer down that way. Would imagine they must be easier to catch as you can get stones throw away in daylight. Have seen them on an industrial estate almost in peoples gardens.! But surely they still put up a fight. Quote Link to post
DiStuRBeD 0
far out wish deer were as visible here as they are there!! they are nearly like a inbred cousin, you never hear of them and if you do its hushed and not spoken of im fortunate to have fallow on one of the properties i hunt, but have never seen them, only droppings .. mind you i hunt at night and the owner said they see them during the days, very early morning Quote Link to post
allgame 0
i caught a deer bit smaller then a fallow with my roo dog a year or so ago and i hunt samber over hounds reackon youd need about 5 hounds to knock over a samber but id be happy with one good roo dog on a fallow and i mean a good one but Quote Link to post

Guest joe ox
johnny1609 the only thing you have proved is your lack of experience on running dogs. Quote Link to post
