Trenchless service laying

Recommended Posts

I am offering a service whereby I can lay water and gas pipes, irrigation, oil lines and electric cables whithout the need to trench by using a trenchless technology technique called horizontal boring.

This service is ideal for those who dont want their drive ripped up or their prize lawn ruined, also if access under steps, a wall or earth bank is needed.

It works out quicker, less mess and less disturbance to any busy sites.

I have done this for 15 years, am fully insured and a member of the UKSTT.

The only catch is, I live in Guernsey, I am posting this on the off chance that someone may be desperate enough to want to hire me, im willing to work weekends and bank holidays and as long as travel and accomodation costs are covered ill work like a trojan and get a neat and tidy job done.

You cant blame me for trying :clapper:

Yeah, just drilling, im only a one man band with a 45 mm machine, got to start somewhere I spose but my machine will do all the water service sizes and electric service sizes, well, up to 95mm 3 core. In Guernsey we lay 35mm 3 core as standard for services, eliminating the need to dig it back up when they want to install 3 phase storage heaters but when I did my jointing course at empower by Nottingham I found out that the norm is only single phase cables for services, so it would do that with ease.

Im hoping to be busy with services, had alot of calls about doing drains, laying new ones, so hopefully I can get busy enough to pay £10,000 for the machine that will do 4" pipes and 6" piles.

Yea, I wanna get a 130 machine but new its a ten grand set up, could go second hand but may be more trouble than its worth as then seals would probably all be shagged, the ol grundomat machines sell fast second hand an all,an like you said youd need a mini digger to cart the beast round and dig the hole for it to fit.

What sort of lengths can you do comfortably with the 130 and did you buy new?
