Guest dotty
my farm and a friends farm has all be cut and drilled already so i'm of out tonight for a little look about. but don't really start going out probably till later. Quote Link to post
MarcusOvDarlo 0
I don't really see the need in starting yet. Fair enough if your going out every fortnight or so to keep your dog on track, But when people go out all the time while seasons out it just ruins it. I always start in mid-september like a few of the people on this thread have said. But i still give my dog a run out now and again. Quote Link to post
Guest smashygadge
been showing willing all year to keep my permission happy and show iam still around. but it will get hit hard when the nights are cooling down, only doing around an hour a trip at the moment Quote Link to post
hang & bang 114
lamp bunnies all year round ( once or twice the most a week) leave the others alone till september Quote Link to post
pointer 543
i started this month.having a quick look out day or night twice a week catching a dozen or so rabbits wont make much difference to the number of rabbits available later in the year.remember that in many places mixy will show up soon and kill off some rabbits.it wont wipe them out but i dont think catching rabbits now will affect my proper season in any way. it just means im out hunting, which is the only reason i have a kennel of dogs in the first place. Rabbithunter 456
as soon as the weather cools down and the ground gets a bit of moisture, i'll be starting my pup on the rabbits..... perhaps its not "sporting" in some folks eyes, but its a great confidence and fitness builder for the pups Quote Link to post
wullielennox 158
Put it this way all puppy owners the more there out the more they pic up things in the fields,,,,,NOT LEARN FECK ALL IN THERE KENNEL get them out as often as ye can,it'll pay in the long run.. Quote Link to post
