Simpson123 0
I have had my ferrets in a nice sized hutch and run now for over a year, but i want them to have a bigger extended place. But instead of making a whole new bigger hutch i wanted to purchase some transparent/translucent plastic piping, so i can place this from the ferrets hutch round the patio then back to the hutch. I want it to be see-through because i want other people to see them running through. I need the piping to be around 15-20 meters long. I have been searching everywhere including the hunting life forums and cant find anything. Can anyone help or able to point me in the right direction? Thank you, Simpson123. Quote Link to post

lorelei0922 2
Never seem any see threw piping either had you tried phoning a building supplier ??? what you want is dust extraction venting.. look on woodworking pages .... they use it for dust extraction systems for wood working... see through i guess so you can see any blockages... we've been thinking of getting some.. but its a bit pricey for what we want to do with it... http://www.rutlands.co.uk/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/DKCDH Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Make it in sections that can be unclipped , if you get a ferret overheat in there you will need to locate a section for quick release Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
probably be cheaper to build a run , just looked at prices & its very expencive Quote Link to post
Simpson123 0
The whole area is in a shaded area? does that make a difference on over heating? Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
The whole area is in a shaded area? does that make a difference on over heating? well clear hose with no holes in it is going to get hot if there 15 meteres of of it with no vent holes then i would say its going to get pretty hot in there regardless of shade or not, a little like a greenhouse , i wouldnt use it personally , costings going to cripple you & if you cant put it to gether in sections incase you need to extract a ferret then i would opt for a run , plenty of freshair Quote Link to post
