What happend to the greyhound post....was it pulled?

dont know what happened to the greyhound post,but whats happened to all the greyhound flapping tracks,used to go to ashfield,irvine,mount vernon,wishaw,corby wood,thornton and a few others theyre all shut down i think theres only ayr and gretna left,too many young ones brought up with computer games or theyre on drugs,when i was a boy i loved going to the racing and trials on sundays,different life nowadays.wont be long till theres no dog racing left.will be very sad

just been rolling around the web to see where all these open races etc are

never been into the track side but now i have a few greyhounds i would love to see how they went on now .after all the hard work in the feild mines had i think that she would fare run for her money .so any info guys on these open races would be great .do you need to have full ped for dog and things ?or does it just go on the dogs tat cheers

think shawfield is the only one going here now mate the one in Carfin is now a housing estate....and your right a night out at the dogs was great entertainment.

when i was younger i went to the greyhounds with my dad mostly shawfield, then he stopped keeping them, hes recently got back into it with a dog he bot from ireland its only trialing in shawfield just now but iv been watchin it was my first time in shawfield for a couple of years 2 weeks ago ill be going back to see this dog race, when i was going when i was wee there was a good few of us that age all ma dads mates etc their sons/daughters all went didnt see any youngsters when i was there the other week apart from a 1 year old (my son).
