Flying Ferrets 0
in denmark a ferretpup in a petstores is £100 at least! buy it from a breeder and its £150-200, more if it's for breeding. I'm going to Holland next weekend for a ferret, shes £120 and thats cheap for a breeding ferret as good as her. your prices are extremely low when compared to ours, maybe because ferrets are more common and we keep them diffrently. It's also relatively easy to find good homes for ferrets here. Here many people are also willing to pay extra for a ferret with a pedigree as ferrets health is incredible bad here, mostly bacause of bad breeding, we have had a couple of big farms who bred fancy colous with no thought of health. the expensive ferrets from breeders are chip marked, got vaccinations and chek ups, and somehow none of the breeders get rich of breeding ferrets... maybe it's just more expensive to be a ferret owner in denmark? masmiffy 82
Never paid for one never wanted paying for one. So long as they go to good working homes no problem. We have a small animal dealer locally who supplies pet trade etc. He will give you 3 quid for one max but wants 15 if you want one from him!!! If you dont actually need the kits why breed anyway? Lot to be said for the idea of a national register for vasectomised hobs? Of perhaps get one done yourself? Quote Link to post

Pedigree ferrets?! I've never heard of a ferret having a pedigree before. Probably not needed here, as the large number of ferrets gives us a healthy gene pool. Quote Link to post
Flying Ferrets 0
Yes pedigree ferrets. The one I'm getting in holland has a great pedigree and t from a very good line. Due to fancy colour breeding as I wrote the ferret health is VERY bad here and breeding n pedigree ferrets is a wy to control the breeding and make health better and age higher. I don't think you have the same health problems so I guess thats why you dont use pedigrees. I will not breed on a ferret without knowing what I'm dealing with, i don't want to put more ferrets in the world who are deaf or die from cancer at the age of a year.... thats reality here, we have to deal with it and pedigrees are a great way.
