Yes with the above, but to get the best out of any pup. All ways take pup on its own, [1] in the day a pup will follow other dogs, and it will not use its nose as much as if on its own. [2] Retrieveing,

day or night its all ways going to be a big test on live game for any pup. So you want a one to one,

with no other dog there. Ive had lurchers 25 years+ , and for me one to one to bring out the best.

I know its a pain when you have other dogs as well, but it is worth the effort in the end :victory:

Most things go out the window when theres another dog for your pup to play with...if your referring to training this is best done one to one as you could undo all the good work you have done with another dog being there. :icon_eek:

Slightly off topic, but i have noticed my BeddyxWhippet doesn't strike properly when theres another dog out with us.She will get up on the rabbits but seems to run past them with a half hearted strike and then looks back as if she's waiting for the other dog to come up behind her (she's never been ran doubled up).

Staying off topic, my young JRT is the same after rats when other dogs are about. She'll go hell for leather after one if she's on her own, but if there's another dog there, she's got one eye on the rat and another on the other dogs. It's almost as if she steps out of the way, and lets the other dog(s) get on with it.

True rearing pups and training them is best taking 1 a time ,because if you've done all your retreving n stuff then take both out together it seems as if everthing you've done way them seems to go out the window,,,,n turns into a tug off war contest n you dont want that,,good luck.....

TRUE statment undisputed..
