thurso jack 3
i painted mine and as long as you make sure the surface is clean and dry before painting and use proper floor paint it works very well, make scleaing alot easier and its a lot cleaner. Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Quarry tiles would be better, they are not expensive either and dry quickly. Quote Link to post
Tarmac 1
Yep thats right, wouldn't bother with the floor paint, waste of time and money,Hard wearing red Quarry tiles are the best thing possible. when wet there are not slippy, very hard wearing and dry quickly. Quote Link to post

Guest blackntan
Like anything the preparation is the key to the end result if you use any old paint on a floor it will debond and peel off , if it is newly poured concrete do not paint till it has fully cured, soak it with clean fresh water a couple of times a day for at least 48 hours, this will cure it , next if you still want to paint it and you can get a power washer, power wash the concrete, let dry , the choice of floor paint is vast , ask you local building supply for a primer suterble for concrete and one that is compatible with the floor paint if done properly it will last for a long time no matter how much piss goes on it, if you do the prep and get the write coating that is , sealers are the same be careful which one you apply do not apply a brick sealer as most of them go slippy when wet , go for a concrete sealer again ask your bulders yard, same prep as for the paint , as in every thing you only get what you pay for, if you concrete is sound and has a good finish just leave it and get a good disinfectant , jays fluid or blacks, Edited July 29, 2008 by blackntan Quote Link to post
