Right then all you eagle eyed twitchers

Recommended Posts

spotted this a few times, today was the first time I've managed to take some pics... been having a bit of a debate with my father as he's been saying it's an eagle of some sort ( he sees it all the time) now my opinion has been, I'll eat my hat if it's anything other than a Buzzard...

Take a look for yourself, I don't want guesses as to what it is I want an informed opinion from those that know...

ps it's a damm sight bigger than any of the buzzards around here...

Any thoughts anyone ???

I'd say Buzzard, but if it is, it's a big bugger, the wings look too long. It hasn't got the characteristic 'V' tail to be a Red Kite, although it looks a little bit like a Golden Eagle I saw in the highlands a few years back.
