andy s410c 61
Arrived up the farm just before midnight, very warm & no wind.Got off to a shaky start dropped me mag for the 410 in the long'ish grass anyway 5 mins on me hands & knees with my Petzl headlamp, found it....Got my act together & ventured up to the top fields ajacent to the farmhouse bagged 2 from there, the second rabbit was a great shot(IMO) it decided to lie as flat as pancake in the short grass all i could make out was it's eye,so i steadied myself in the kneeling position ,dropped the crosshairs just under it's eye, squeezed the trigger AA Field straight in the blinker at about 20 yds I had a mooch about close to the paddock fields again & bagged 5 from there but kept my distance from the bull & his herd of women as i did,nt fancy disturbing them incase it turned into the Weardale bull run All the rabbits were just under 3/4 grown & in good nick so plenty of food for the new kits Quote Link to post
