karmakiller 0
I got a problem with a fisher cat in the area. Built a wooden live trap about 13"x13' and 3' long so that I can study him a bit before relocation. I have trapped a few pesky coons already and wonder if the smell of them could potentially drive away a fisher cat from entering. I also don't know what I should be using for bait. Any ideas? Any ideas? there aint no coon ever made that will frighten a fisher , a 160 conibear in a box trap will sort it out big time , meat from your dead coon will catch him, make sure the bait is far enough in so that it can,t reach in , nail mouth of bucket or box to a piece of 3 inch branch underneath it to elevate the mouth of the bucket from the ground to give it easier access , a 220 kills them also but the 160 gets a good neck strike , as the bigger trap sometimes catches them further along the back. all the best. snareman.
