No need to shout, we can hear you! Caps are regarded as shouting!

 

Spars are not something a beginner should not go anywhere near; temperamental, difficult, highly stressed and need very accurate weight control. Please don't go there; they are smaller versions of Gos', but you have no leeway on the weight, 1/4 oz or less in the wrong direction and the bird is lost or in cold weather dead.

 

Get yourself a mentor and I would seriously suggest that you start with a Redtail or Harris'.

No it wouldn't mate there so small that weight control has to be absolute perfect so you need some experience with a larger bird, A ideal first bird would be a Harris Hawk.

Thats the simple but only answer !! indeed a sparrow hawk would probably not be suitable even as a second bird.
