Wasp Nest In The Bedding....Ouch.

Recommended Posts

I was called out today to remove a wasp nest from a pile of sheets and bedding that had been stacked on the back of a car in a garage. The client got attacked big time as he attempted to lift the blankets from the car.....the pictures will explain why........the first shows the entrance to the nest.......then the actual nest itself .......it was about the size of a small football. ;)

Edited.....to show another nest i did this morning in a coal barn.........wonderful feats of construction aint they? ;)

Must have been left in the car for a wee while for them to build a nest that size ??

Yeah.........been there a month at a guess..........it was all old bedding stacked on the boot of an old car in the garage.

It was destined for dust sheets and the tip............but as he went to move it he got a nasty surprise. ;)

God i know nobody wants wasps but that looks so nice wonder how long it took to build . And how many occupants live there :icon_eek:

That nest is about 2 months old but would have been twice that size.......in a month or so had it been left. NO occupants live there now...........their house has been repossessed.:laugh:;)

It's OK Tess.........when you have all the kit on........quite safe.......BUT they are hot-arsed little buggers if you approach the nests unprotected......Ouch.
