Guest scutt Posted February 4, 2006 Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 Looks like the ferreting season has finished for this year,Out with my Patterdale pup recently,noticed plenty of doe neck fur about ,Buzzards have been pretty active too,wich is a sure sign that young rabbits are out and about,I live in the welsh hills and the weather has been very cold here for the past couple of months,so what triggers/stops breeding cycles if the tempretures does'nt? scuttt. doddsy1970 9 Posted February 5, 2006 Report Share Posted February 5, 2006 I hadnt seen any signs of young or breeding until yesterday the first place we ferreted was clear of signs we were ferreting to the guns and all that bolted were adults but the second place we went to we started bolting babies that were a few weeks old so unfortunately it looks like this seasons ferreting is over for me Another thing was that my hob was taking alot more interest in the jills which is very early too.
