f**k ups

we all make f...ups with our terriers from time to time,be it starting to young,out crosses to the wrong line or maybejust being stupid on our own views on things. weve all been there,so whats the biggest mistake have some of you lads made as fsar as your terriers go.

swopping 6 racing pigeons and a gat air pistol for my first russell when i was about 13 .. giving a mate a russell bitch did`nt seem to want the digging job for bushing her 1st litter produced 6 dogs and 2 bitchs all good digging dogs not showing at the yorkshire this year getting back into the terrier game after a long lay off .. many mistakes made in my early days are they mistakes or learning the game -- how bowt you friedrice ??

letting my little fell out when in season and then seeing that it was in pup.the only possable sire a large collie, proper fu*ked off

Letting the pups go to ground on rabbits for a start. Took literally years to get them out of it. Had to take a fold up spade even cn a mooch about

Taking a bitch in season out digging.

 

Putting the pieps box on the ground while a mate is about to bar down.

 

Assuming someone else has loaded a couple of dogs for me while I back fill in the rain, has not left my faithfull G.Jones couplers attached to a tree, (didnt think about till we were 2 hours down the road and back home).

bet alot of folk f****d up by talking to folk who ask to many questions

my biggest amongst the many are parting with a russell bitch over 15" and barely spannabl ignoring the fact

she was an absoulte demon, beliveing all i read and blind to what was in front.

ps. out of respect would never have another russell give.

I don't think there's a terrierman who has'nt made the odd mistake, it's not so much mistakes but IMO either stupidity and absent mindedness or just learnin invaluable lessons.

was out on land i'd never been on before,n decided to let my russell bitch and lakey dog run loose collared up ,in some cover that ran close to a small river , dogs put a fox up and off they went in chase ,and was twenty mins or so before we found them ,the russell bitch have got stuck in a weir pool on river and had drowned ,thats a lesson to be learnt ,and a big f--k up sad sad day
