sandymere 8,263 Posted July 28, 2008 Report Share Posted July 28, 2008 Usually a virus but can be bacterial and the virus can lead to a secondary bacterial infection, keep warm, rest and away from other dogs if not improving then to the vets for some antibiotics/alternative diagnosis etc. Some swear by cough mixture but if you try stick to a simple linctus type nothing with other medications in it. good luck.
