You will need to be a residen tof that country in order not to be taxed. People go and live in a virtually tax free country such as dubai. They still work in this country though. Its normally rich bankers and wealthy people who have offshore bank accounts.

I invest my money in stocks and shares.I make nice sizeble returns aswell. 5% every two months tax free as it's oli shares. They are hard to get into now as oil prices have gone up and up, so shares are abouty £1.90 each. All tax free as they can't tax shares.

How much money do you want to put away anyway?

Capital D for Dubai please, and whats oli shares? & do I need to mention the space bar?

Cheers guys. Looks like the offshore account is out then! I know what you mean Rizini, One of my dads mates does the same but I'm not that rich :D Stocks and shares aren't an option either..

I think an account in a family members name would still get taxed BC, If that is just the interest or all the lump sum I don't know?? Still that looks like the only option so far but I'll still be loosing money on that account then even if it is a small amount.

Thanks HH, I'll take a look at that link tonight.

Take care of the pennies and the pounds look after themselves ;)

That's what I am trying to do M. Its not great amount I will be getting but it is more than welcome. I'd rather a tax free account and one that can't be traced to me so I will be saving the pennies but even If I put it in a family members name I will still be up..but obviously not as much.

Is th tax just taken off the Interest then or the lumpsum and interest??

While I'm here where's the best place to put a lump sum in the bank to gain max interest?? I don't mind having it tied up for max of 3 years if I'll get a better rate??
