mackem 28,218
Have you already got your in-principle mortgage agreement for a set amount of cash?Plain sailing after that
quickdrawmcgraw 0
If you've got your mortgage gaurentee in place and you're buying a new build, then you can more or less demand what you want...within reason. Why not try for an upgrade in kitchen or turfed back garden.

scouser3038 1
I wouldnt buy one at the moment mate!!!!! I'd wait they are deffinately going to come down more!!!! I've just bought my first house, I put a %10 deposit down and have spent a fair bit of money doing it up, but due to the prices dropping i'll be lucky if the house is worth what i owe!!!!! I would definately wait!!!!

SkinnyMan 11
Well the house we looked at,already come with a 5%deposit being paid by the owner which is why we looked at it in the first place, and the woman says it has been on the market for a few months so could get it considerably less, but he has fited new carpets, supposedly new central heating system, theres a new boiler and the decor so maybe he wouldnt go to low of asking price. mackem 28,218
Go with scousers suggestion then,as he said all the guy can do is say "No" but it still leaves room for negotiation
