tapeworm cyst .

cleaning rabbits last night and noticed a huge tapeworm cyst on the back leg , i never check rabbits for that as i throw rabbits in whole (just gutted) . makes you wonder what the ferts are necking

Someone else started a similar thread a couple of weeks ago and had pics as well..this was something I was unaware of before as I thought they only lived in the gut...see I can admit when I'm wrong and learn

i must be lieing along with the other fella i was going to take a pic as this one was the biggest ive seen (but it was getting dark) , it was in a water sack about the size of an small egg .

I see these a lot, as I skin and chop into chunks, 2 rabbits per day, divided between hutches and court, tend to chuck the whole back half away if I see any like this

we get cysts on rabbits in australia if its clear liqiud with white specs in it it is hydatis which is bad for animals that eat it.it can also infect humans and make you very sick

I'd of just chopped the leg off and binned that if it was in the body cavity though id of binned the whole rabbit
