Guest WILF
How are those stags bred Allgame?........I thought ferrets were alien species in Oz mate, or is that just certain states? Nice to see the little pup in those pictures as well.........just start taking them out from the word go then? What age do you normally start them on game? allgame 0
the stags are just a cross of deerhound wolfhound and grey hound there like the australian version of a lurcher dogs start hunting as soon as they can walk and no one i know has ever had an issue as long as you keep them off foxes untill they are at least 6 months old and even then hope the dog dosent get bitten to badly and ferrets are only banned in queensland Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
Really good looking dogs: one thing I've noticed about most of the stags in Oz is their good feet: solid and tight. And I really like the JR/Grey cross: I'm surprised people over here haven't gone down that road for breeding a small lurcher. Do they open up/bark when running game or are they silent? I suppose being terrier based they might, which would put people off over here: though wouldn't be a problem running foxes obviously. Quote Link to post
