I think in general its a man thing, to pet a ferret is not seen as the done thing to some of them , but in reality who works there ferrets 365 days per year , hunting is a male domain sadly it goes with the territory

I think that maybe some pet owners have contributed to the deep rift and it's a two-way thing. I've seen lot of incorrect assumptions made by people who own them just as pets about the way working owners keep them .

 

Odd really because I've seen loads of 5 star ferret accommodation on here... masses of space and extra's like paddling pools Plus diet-wise the workers tend to get the best; real healthy, Cordon bleu ferret food (raw carcases) instead of being restricted to processed rubbish...

Oh i agree 100% perhaps its down to some off the american books & sites people tend to look at in the first place untill they know there kept totallly differently here , used to gets lots of people asking about things like descenting , very american & the silly dressing up stuff

What gets up my nose is the pet owners who look down they're noses at people who work their animals, and perpetrate wrongly stereotypical views of hunters as cruel to their charges, ever ready to whack them on the head at the drop of a hat. Not all pet owners are like it, you get the same with some dog owners.

 

Stubby, did that ferret come with a complete wardrobe of hoodies & miniskirts, and are you going to put it down a rabbit hole?

Yes she will get worked but probaly once just to see how she goes,She met the rest of the clan when she arrived and she LIKES the boy's have to say she is the sweetest fert ive ever seen and you can have a good old rough and tumble with her and she loves it
