stubby 175
so yesterday Im out at the ferret courts, when I get a phone call, guy asking me if Im a rescue centre for ferts, seems the pet shop that I had given my number too "for anyone after kitts" had given him my number, after a bit of umming and arr'ing, I said ok, bring her round, Ill find her a home, so he say's do you want the cage as well, a hutch Im thinking, ok mate, Ill have it.... anyway, they turn up couple of hours later, with a car full of gear and a shoebox, inside of which is "bow" an albino jill bout 1yr old, and as tame a ferret as I've ever seen, their little 6yr old girl was pulling it all over the place, seemed they had rescue'd it 4 months previous, from a guy that kept it in a shed, with the cage full of shit and mice bones all over the place, with the ferret in a very sorry state, but as they had 2 dogs that were constantly trying to eat her, plus she had started to "smell", they wanted to re-home her, anyway, the cage was bought in from the car, bloody hell, the size of it, must have cost well over £100, plus the large bag of james well beloved plus, sprays, shampoo's etc, set the cage up, and of course, she is staying with us, as the kids love her, and I can be 100% sure she wont nip, although she loves "play biting" the reason for "the smell", simply that she's in season, so although we have snipped hobs, I think she'll be getting a jill jab first, as the missus dont want her mixing with that "common lot" at the end of the garden... I promise I wont start posting explanations of american Illnessess that wer've never heard of, or saying that you should all fed dry and take them for walkies Link to post

I've never understood the difference myself. I've got friends who work them but still regards them as pets. IMO there's just good owners and bad. Link to post
