hello to everyone newboy on hear.need your advice,i want to get back into the shotguns.over 20yrs last time i used one,things change,i still shoot with the air rafle,and i always will,just dont know where to start,1st one looking at a good 2nd hand one,not a side by side,just my choice,look forward to any reply thanks,

Depends how much you want to pay? I shoot with a cheap Spanish Lauroma s/s I picked up for £105, my mate has a Lamber he paid £900, we both prefer our own guns. Try a few and get a "feel" for the right one for you....................

go to a gun shop mate and try a few i think when you pick up the right gun for you then you know it but that could just be me.

Save your money and get a berreta silver pigeon. Great guns and will last a lifetime.

It depends entirely on how much you want to spend. Go to your gun shop have a look at what is in your price range and see which ones take your fancy.

 

If you happen to be coming across Beretta's and Browning's then great, if you happen to be coming across Laurona,Lanber,AYA and other Spanish guns then still great they are all strong and well made.

 

Its resting on your budget really.

i know how u feel mate - im new to the whole shooting scene

 

been on shotguns for a year now and got my sgc 2 months ago and i got a beretta 686e sporter 30" barrels multi choke can fault it one bit superb pit of kit.

cheers mate,i just need to now the steps 1st do i buy the safe,2nd do i aply for the licences,then look for a gun,hope you can help me out .

It is more than likely it will go in this order.

 

You will apply and hopefully have a visit within a few weeks of their receipt of your application.

 

Then they will ask you to fit a cabinet or similar security arrangements before they will issue your certificate.

 

During the time your application is in progress, you will more than likely be looking at guns, but when they issue your SGC then the serious Gun hunting will be done.

Depends what you want the gun for ,when i went the bloke said what are you going to use the gun for i replied a lot of rabbits and some pigeon decoying .I bought a bakial o/u for £100 it does me and the rest of the cash went back into my pocket

beretta urika auto bud, you wont go far wrong with that, any gun shop will tell you ! very reliable, never jams, can put any cartridge through em and uve got the extra shot. Go see for your self! got a nicehush power silenced 20bore too, like an air rifle
