fire extinguishers

If you have one in the home please check that its still in date,and better still know how it works.My grill on my cooker went on fire.So im looking at it and thinking this is getting a bit out of hand panic beggining to seep in,then i remembered the extinguisher hanging on the wall.Grabbed it broke the seal and stood like a spare prick at a wedding trying to figure out how to set it off.Unknown to me the plastic trigger had fallen off when i pulled the pin.I ended up grabbing a towel and lifting the grill out the back (burnt my f*****g hand in the process)So lads and girls Please dont be irresponsible like me and at least know that it works if you have one.Better still get it serviced.I felt a right tit and it could it have been a lot worse.

right i seen enough of these in houses, when we are called to them most chippan are the same as for

fire extinguisher they not worth the money the big size ones last only 27 seconds thats it gone,on less you right there when it goes on fire there not worth a f**k, if the fire extinguisher is gone or can't get to it,close the door get out and stay out a call the fire service as they are trained to deal with it and you only end up hurt by trying to put it out yourself, cheers sounder

Good advise tho iv used a few of them even big ones and there gone with no time and theres so many of them out there for the specific fire you could be spraying the wrong stuff on the fire and doing nothing to it only spreading it even more......

fire blankets are best for chip pans and fryers, seen a fryer blow up in lads face when he tried to batter fish in pumpkin soup (thinking it was fish batter) blanket probably saved his life andlot of damage to the premesis! never take risks though! if in doubt get the f**k out

There used to be diffrent colours for specific fires.Now they have them all the same colour

Must have been up all night thinking that one up

Thanks sounder i will defo be leaving it to you guys if it ever happens to me again.

Its just you think by the time they get here i could probally put it out.Guess there a few people have thought that but not here to tell the tale
