whats up wi the price of lurcher an terrier pups ???? some of the prices you see are f$%*ing outta this world!!! my litter of 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bedlington pups were given away for free ...cos they were goin to good homes!! some people need to have a reality check an ask whether they are into dogs for the pleasure of it or are they in it for money??? at the moment am planning to get a jack russell in about 6 months but some of the terriermen (of the bullshitter variety) have been quoting f%&*ing mental prices for pups!! what is the world commin to??

pricing on dogs has gone threw the roof dont no why when half end up in shelters.

i got my first lurcher free my greyhound free paid a little for a whippet x grey

but looking at getting another collie grey and the pricing is ridiculous .people seem more intrested in the money than a life long home good luck in finding a dog

cheers for the reply mate..you have first hand experience of what am talkin about..a got my greyhound bitch for nothing but when i bred her a had all sorts of characters phoning me offering me silly money for the pups ...a just gave them away for free, the litter was basically a favour to a mate who introduced me to hunting with dogs an who i am eternally grateful for ..he let me come out wi him an his 2 lurchers an wee terrier to see what it was all about!! (a will go into the details of the litter for a favour later on )

working terrier pups here usaully go for in round the £ mark... but lurcher pups cant be given away no matter what theyre out of... when i started in terriers russell pups could be got for £25... if you were paying £30 for them then they would have been out of outstanding stuff

i have noticed it mate, some prices are daft money for a dog i have a price range in my mind what i would pay for a lurcher or terrier, in my opinion anything over that is people ripping people off, between me and everyone i know if theres pups terrier or lurcher go free to the lads wether it be a deal of a pup back or nothing at all and thats the way it should be in my opinion iv only ever had 1 litter of terriers and no money exchanged, hands none of the lads i know have lurcher pups or are thinking of lurcher pups if they did i know i wouldnt need to open my wallet but as none of them do im in the looking but i wont be payin stupid money.

its a pity you didnt contact me a while back...am just down the road from you!!a would have sorted you out wi a dog for free if i knew it was goin to a good home.....

well this is one of my pet hates,lurcher pups,hare killers £500 each matings £500 feckin rediculous we can all bullshit get a track dog free and a collie are saluki free to put over her then the bullshit starts,wrong,i sold a 100%workin dog £250 this yr and i got offered a grand for her 1 month earlier no way all he wanted to do was breed hr as she had won loads and a top bitch

well as to your step into hunting sounds very similar to mine the guy i got mine off bred for his own use.my price was to help the dam at birth which was done in loo of my dog .

and he also gave me my first 2 ferrets.now he has not got any of his own line left and without ferrets .due to unfortunate curcumstances .but now ive got him a nice litter of kits to have his pik from free and hopfully i can line my greyhound with my lurcher this season for the only reason to replace his lost stock and for the fact he gave me what i have today.its a case of you get what you give in this world.well you do with a certain few

the litter i bred was a favour for a good mate who introduced me to hunting with dogs...a aquired my hound an a was goin to breed it wi my mates collie greyhound cross... but unfortunately he was walking them in a cemetary an a japanese akita went for my mate an grabbed him by the calf muslce an ripped a chunk outta his calf muslcle off an his two wee dogs went for the akita to try an defend him...one was a whippetXgrey an the other was a collieX greyhound but the whippet ended up wi his back leg hanging off an the collie one ended up gettin his neck an shoulder crushed so much he had to be put to sleep with the whippet one!!!! when all was said an done the guy got took to court cos there was a few witness' an got fined £110 even though it cost my mate £140 to get his 2 dogs pts!!!! AN HE STILL HAS THE DOG WHICH HAS SINCE BIT A FURTHER 3 PEOPLE!!!!!!! ........

russels are away mad os i seen a litter a few weeks ago and the fella was asking wait for it £170 a runt as i wouldnt have called them pups,this guy breeds only for money and guess what he always sells them.has world gone mad or am i

yea, you can get papers with them now and thats the problem... i'm not in the game long but russells used to be nearly all form working stuff because every wee town/village always had some old fella that done a bit of hunting with a few russell type terriers and every year the ole codger was sure to have a litter.... or maybe that's just where i live??
