any idea why my scope wont hold a zero ?

ive got a richter scope which i have tried zeroing in , and it just wont hold a zero , what part of a scope goes wrong ?

 

now back with a trusty old simmons 3-9-40 till pay day :)

if its on a recoiling spring rifle then its possible the mounts are slipping which can be sorted with an arrester block. it fits behind the rear mount and stops the recoil slipping the scope back. if its a pcp then could be the crosshairs are knackered.

i would call up richter & ask them if you could send it in for a look....

 

i just got my scope back today from falcon optics, the side parallax wheel came off & it wouldnt go back on.

 

they fixed it for free, all im paying for is the return postage. .

 

i bought it 2nd hand & it wasnt under warranty, cant get a better service than that.

well i have used the same mounts but different scope and have just shot 15 rabbits no problem so it has to be the scope , i might send it back and get em to have a look at it ..

i'm havin trouble with the one i got off ebay... its on the air amrs tx200 and sometimes it shoots great and then other times its all over the place... any ideas what happening there???

not an option now, i'm sorry to say!!! just wondered what causes that because i bought a decent scope about 11 years ago and it started to do the same... this new one was a cheapo so i wasnt expectin much but it done well for about 4 months and now its goin the same way...
