SPAR 2
I think sparrows and starlings have been taken off the quarry list. What you will have to do is apply for a quarry licence http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=36975 there maybe more info on the natural england website or the DEFRA website http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/ http://www.defra.gov.uk/ Application for a licence http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/publicati...ife/WML-A41.pdf Edited July 18, 2008 by SPAR Quote Link to post

bullet 125
you can train a harris with a lure, you never know your luck might change and get some land to hunt on, i got more now i fly birds, even the ones i got refused when i ran dogs let me on now, they seem to love bop's just a thought as the weight control is a lot tighter on a kestral than a harris Quote Link to post
perlin 0
You will be much better off with a Harris, I have never heard of anyone catching anything with a kestrel, you are only talking 5 to 7 ounces to get right . Half an ounce wrong and you could end up with a dead falcon. Bullets right, you have a bigger margin for error on a Harris , and can have a lot more fun. John Quote Link to post
