Guest jojoamojo
my 3 are on ferret feast by alpha i use that, its nice food they all like it and its loads cheaper than JWB, but a meat based diet is much better for the ferret Quote Link to post
The one 8,482
I know dry food is convenient but surely convenient is not always best? My thought excactly sight hound how do you know what they say is in the bag it could be any crap sweept up off the floor at least when you put a rabbit in to your ferrets you know what there getting ,And there not thirsty all the time Quote Link to post
Rhodey 96
I feed mine JWB in the morning then give them chicken leg, rabbit, liver at night. They have normally finished the dry by dinner time and ready for there meat at night. Quote Link to post
Julia 0
Well. As you might have figured out by now, my ferrets are kept as pets. They live inside with me, now that we have moved to an apartment. Their basic diet consists of a mix of different dry food. In my current mix there is. (I know, they are pampered!) Royal Canin kitten 34 Hill's Feline Adult with Rabbit Hill's Feline Adult t/d (good for dental care - and not to big for ferrets to chew on) Hill's Kitten Chicken Hill's Nature's Best Feline Kitten chicken (just because it's organic) Totally Ferret Active James Wellbeloved Ferret Complete Besides that for basic, they get raw meat when I can. Whole mice or rat or gerbil or hamster or guineapig or whatever I can get my hands on. I think I have about 1 kg mice in my freezer. They also get raw eggs. Then I have a jaw of treats. The treats can be anything new I found in the local petstore for cats or dogs and even youghurt drops for rabbits they like. Of course they get oil/ferrettone/what-ever-you-call-it-overthere. As I said, I know they are pampered. It's just... If they were to get a bowl of dry food, the same day in and day out. Then I woulden't be my ferret, cause that's just plain boring to eat the same thing everyday. Quote Link to post
