brookie 1,193
ive done numbers like that im quick with the lamp especially when im places where i shouldnt be . i suppose its done to how competant you are with the lamp and how good your dog is but 30 in a couple of hours or there abouts is not out of the way if the rabbits are on the ground and the dog is up to the grade Quote Link to post

Guest markbrick1
Thirty-two rabbits at this time of year in under two hours on on the lamp on ground holding decent numbers is well within a fit educated dogs capabilities. The trend on here lately seems to be if I've not done it then it can't be done. i dont doubt the possobillitys of it, if i had the incling i could go and do it tonight, but i dont, its the middle of the summer the ground is hard (ish) and the rabbits are stupid, i just dont see the point? well jack the grounds not one bit hard and you tell the farmers that we only kill rabbits in summer so get someone else to do it in the winter Quote Link to post

Guest markbrick1
anyway for a few on here are a lot just spent last hr skinning rabbits and boiling them for food for the dogs so i suppose summer lamping does a few things,1keeps me and the dogs fit,2keeps the farmer happy,3 keeps the dogs well fed,so whats wrong with summer hunting, Quote Link to post
