hue jeers 6
It don't matter what size they are as long as he does the job and your happy Rio. Personally I like them a bit smaller but I have had big dogs as well, you don't know the exact measurments your gonna get out of a pup, so the work comes before the size and looks in my opinion. And that lad there, is a grafter, best of luck with him mate. Quote Link to post

tigerdog2 8
you wouldnt put a little tiny bitch in a big rambling ancient earth ,just as you wouldnt walk out with a big dog checking cleaned out rabbit earths,as some one said its horses for courses and if the big terrier is geting up to the quarry and doing his job well thats what counts end of,a few lads i have spoken to who are talking from what they have seen in the flesh say that some of harcombe and powells terriers are massive and that they do the job so there you go ,cheers tigerdog !! Guest rexdigger
if the dog wants to get to his quarry he will regardless of how much digging on the dog needs to do imo i remember a few years ago digging to a very barrell chested dog on a few occassions in tight holes too always managed to get to his stuff Quote Link to post
