on average i like a dog to be around 14 inch and built strong and around the 20 lb mark had a shock when i weighed and meusured my big black dog today hes standing at 16 tts and weighing in at 31 lb is anyone digging to dogs this big ive had 2 digs on this dog and so far hes been spot on he has been very hard on the first 2 hopefully he will calm down

he had his 1st dig at 13 months old and he was silent dug him mid tube i put him away till recently when we hada call out and i took to give him a try he worked the same and dug him again mid tube

I wish i could find a dog like that,im waiting to go and look at a litter of pups soon they are supposed to be off good dogs and the bitch is big so maybe i'l end up with 1,theres one thing about the big dogs theres nowt much going to get past them when your just breaking in.good luck with the dog he looks a cracker.

I got a 10 month old black and tan dog thats about 15 inch to the shoulder, i dont know what to do with him enter him to ground or the grand national, haha. I've never worked a dog this big before. He's full of it like, very busy, i just dont know weather to try him or get rid????? its fooking me head up. He's from a very handy working line.

Its funny sometimes when the dog is just getting on with his work you dont really notice how tall it is until you put it along side a small dog,personally id prefer a dog around thirteen fourteen but at the end of the day it dosnt matter as long as it finds and stays.

Ive got a very small black bitch from good breeding, she's about 12 months old now gona try her after christmas i think. A bit nervous when entering a young dog for the first time, hope she makes me proud.
