thurso jack 3
does anyone have any tips for encouraging wild pheasants onto your land? is it as simple as providing feeders and as long as your ground is suitable they will come?
Little Butch 16
Pheasants have alwasy been known to be hard to hold on your ground but set some feeders up and make sure they always have feed in there. Butch
alimac 882
as you say, good habitat is high up there, but vermin control is by far the most important.. different story if you have a big shoot close by, then feeders alone will work..
martin 332
I used to have a 'Cabbage Patch' maybe 1.5 acres, and,a shoot close by,so I used to leave piles of straw about,to encourage insects etc. and, there was always pheasants on the piles, and, also there was a huge pile of chicken sh!t and that brought them in too.............................Martin.
