matulkoh 66 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Share Posted February 1, 2006 Just wondering which breed of terrier you all use on the red un's,I realize this is mostly down to personal prefference but is any one breed better on them than another,i am liking the looks of the patterdale. how y said it s about y own preference, it s hard to say if any breed is better or worse depand on each dog, it s also depand on conditions, here are prefered german hunting terrier, and dachshund than welsh terrier, border terrier and patterdale.. these are most preferable dogs. patts cen be better because of their size, welsh and german hunting terrier are good in those regions where are badgers and the climate is colder. i ve beddie and plan to have more. these dogs are suitable for nearly all kind of hunting here in Slovakia. but i think the best "workin breed" are patterdales, i mean in true terrier work, just go through all topics and have a look on dogs, which breed is commonly use by terrierman Quote Link to post

HI THERE [bANNED TEXT], YOU WONT GO FAR WRONG WITH A GOOD STRONG PATTERDALE, IVE WORKED UM FOR YEARS, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND IVE ALSO USED A BORDERx LAKELAND BUT HE WENT MISSING ON A MISSION HE WAS A REAL HARD TERRIER, HE TOOK ME TO THE CHARLIE,S.
