jamie g 17
I think you have to Have a FAC for five years before you can apply for an open ticket. when i put in for a open ticket .they sent me letter back sayin that i can put in for a open ticket. after 3 years that for FAC air rimmy and my CF hope this helps W.D thats good mate. i have 2 more years to wait if thats the same up here. but your force isnt as stricked as ours i bet mind you they have been good to me so far. i guess its a number of things like how long have you had the guns, they look at how much ammo you get and your using, and if you it them with a load of farms you want passing to shoot over if they are not all ready passed that could help you i bet would help is well if you where in the vermin control buesness and other farmers have asked you to control the vermin on there farms so open ticket would be more usefull. if your shooting mate has open ticket you could ask if he can send in a letter to the flo saying how safe you are that mite help to ? Deker 3,478
There is NO formula for this ......You can apply for an Open FAC at your first grant, but it will be your lucky day if you get it. Most regions want to see experience, Safety and NEED, if you can demonstrate any of these then you are in with a chance. You do not have to wait 5 years, you can apply at ANY time! How to apply is easy....just write to your region and ASK them to make your FAC Open. Giving as much info as possible to justify your request will help. It is fairly common for an FAC to be made Open at renewal (5 years) Quote Link to post

Rentomski 0
Are you applying for your first FAC? Yep, first FAC for a .308. He was here for about an hour; nice bloke and also a stalker, so he gave me a lot of good advice. Quote Link to post
rizzini 1
Im going to ask for an open ticket then. They can only say no. Do I ask him at the interview or do I write it on my application? Quote Link to post
