surely the tension built into the snare will do that, you need one of woodga's dvd's, that'll show you, it worked on mine

paddy, cut 2 thin sticks from a decent hardwood tree (make sure they are green :)) around 12" in height, place a point in one end of each stick, then split the stick carefuly and evenly around a quarter of the way down, attach one of the split sticks to the sliding noose/runner and the other stick to the other side of the noose and drive both sticks into the ground till the snares height is set at 6" and DONE

hope ive helped

paddy forget the sticks , they are certainly not needed on a fence line , select your loop size to corelate with the rabbit run thats coming under the fencewire , if right handed , put your left hand inside the noose, palm facing up with your forefinger under the snare eyelet , and your thumb on top , hold firmly, then place the snare wire over the top of the fenceline wire , now bend snarewire round underneath f. wire , and come over the top of the snare wire at the back of your fingers , now go under the f. wire and bring snare back over the top , and down through the little brass snare loop to create a double hitch , then wind tail of snare around fence , then cock your noose up slightly above the f. wire, while the bottom of the noose retains enough depth to catch the rabbit by the head , keep bottom of noose up of ground , to allow rabbits feet to go under . there are a few simple methods i know of attaching snares to a fenceline, but that is quick and simple enough , you will need to use proper snares for this method, as the shop bought ones are far to short , unless you tie both ends of the cheap twine into a knot , then loop snare loop through the twine onto f. line , and wind the end around the f.wire ,
