at the moment i use shop broght snares onto home made tealers i caght 4 out of 10 last night wit ha few knocked ones and a couple with the ring pulled right down

so obviously i am ignorant arnt i duckwing?

 

Yup coz if you'd read some of the stuff available on here you'd know why your wires were knocked or pulled tight without catching and would know what to do to stop it happening and improve your catch rate, read through the stickys by snareman

Your dead right Gnipper, if he had paid attention those wires wouldn't be knocked, they would have had a rabbit in them. willrennyferreter sort yourself out and move with the times, the more people that move out of the darkages the better it will be for snaring, especially in these turbulant times.

NOW AFTER TALKING AND LEARNING FROM PROS LIKE SNAREMAN , WOODGA AND PEG AND GUN OVER A FEW YRS MY SNAREING BECAME MORE PROFESSIONAL AND MY CATCH RATES BOOMED

Duckwing your a man who talks a lot of sense,

I must say trapper tev if you have been snaring for 32 years with the old hazel tealer method, you must be easily pleased, I was taught to snare by an “old timer†and had reasonable success, then one day I was fortunate enough to see a video made by Snareman, and I must admit that after watching it I had an overwhelming feeling of “what the feck have I been playing atâ€

If I buy peg snares I'll use woodga, there time consuming to make and colin does an excellent job of them thats for sure, can't comment on other peoples setups... but if you want any woodga gets 10/10 in my book ...

well as i have said time and time again which sport/ job/control method do people at the top of there game share the information with 10000 people , well open your eyes it is here to see at the hunting life woodga snareman peg and gun have ALL SHARED this info to help and guide people to be the best snarer they can, this information is priceless in our game ,please read all the stickys at the top of the forum time and effort has been put in doing please show some admiration at these people sharing it , time and progress move on and dark age methods did work and probably still do ,but move on into the now ,rant over soap box climb down

rob, i was coming out the the chip shop the other evening , and was approached by a dishevelled looking fellow who seemed to be down on his luck , i was going to give him a couple of quid , but i smelled the drink of him , he said to me i haven,t eaten in three days , i said to him , my good man , i certainly admire your willpower .

,glen you should have said heres a couple of fence wires get your self over that field ,set them snares high and you wont go hungry
