How lucky were you to get that close to a Cuckoo?

Would it be common in Britain to see a Cuckoo?

Here ,to hear one is a privelage.

 

common as muck up here, been trying to get a picture of a young cockoo being fed by its now new parents, which i think are a pair of wheatear.. fingers crossed...

over the last few years i,ve heard and seen them regulary but for some unknown reason i have,nt seen or heard them this year, :hmm:
