weed killer

Im after a decent cheap weed killer to put down in my allotment,but its got to be safe for dogs as there always with me,the reason its got to be cheap as its got to cover a big area,any ideas anyone thanks.

try clinic you can get it from a farm supplys you may need a holding number to get it but keep dogs of until it drys of better still 24hrs its about £16.00 a gal :thumbs:

Best weed killer ive ever used is salt put a pinch in the middle of a weed , at the base , and it will be gone in a week :thumbs: Its one my Nan told me , and i did`nt believe it till i tried it , Good on ya Nan ( love ya ) :thumbs:

clinic is the cheapest of the glyphos based weedkillers and will do the job but animals should be kept away till dry or 24hrs is right or you could try scutchout 360............gallup 360..................roundup biactive..............pricy but high in glyphos .... :gunsmilie:

Any weedkiller containing Glphosate is ok to use on your allotment these are sold under names such as Roundup,clinic and Glyphos.Once it has been sprayed on and allowed to dry it is safe for pets onto the area,but personally i would leave it for 24 hours.The chemical biodegrades on contact with soil so can be planted on when weeds have gone.Only problem with these chemicals is that you may need a spraying certificate to purchase them or you could buy some off a friendly farmer.

i have done that on the lawn with dandelions & it does work
