I do chuckle when people moan about the price of 17HMR ammo. Yes, it's expensive compared to 22LR but it's cheap as chips next to most centrefire ammo.

My 223 is cheaper at 18p a bang, but the ammo in question is rubbish whereas the HMR ammo shoots very well.

It's expensive for target bashing sure, but for living targets it's still good going.

I second that. Cheap as chips compared to Bismuth etc for 12bore at ducks. :tongue2:

Exactly Mr L,

The price of ammo is expensive COMPARED to a .22 LR .

At 22p a bang, im not complaining when I shoot a Rabbit or a Crow, its cheaper than using a shotgun!!!

Regards

SS

F**k me SS....what shotgun ammo are you using on crows and rabbits that costs MORE than £220 per 1000...I can still get a wide choice much less than that ......and I thought I was paying a lot!!!

I pay around 15 euro or there abouts for my 17hmr ammo,Icant understand why people complain about the price, where else would you get a days sport for 15 euro, some of mates pay 100euro+ for a round of golf which in my opinion is a good walk wasted

mr logic was right when he told me 22/250 was dear to run :whistling:

i dont mind spending £11.50 on 50 rounds of ammo for the hmr because 20 federal rounds for the 22/250 is 25 pound

lucky for me i dont use it that much at the moment so im not to bothered. i will be getting reloading kit soon anyway
