J Darcy 5,871
It should simply be a case of common sense prevailing...... #however, sadly it often depends on the mentality of the individual policeman. They tried to do a mate of mine for having a small folding knife in his jacket pocket in his car!!!! he was rabbiting!!!! another waste of tax-payers money..... masmiffy 82
Guns or knives they have tried it all before! Banning handguns hasnt stopped gun crime, criminals dont care!!! Banning knives or changing the knife law wont stop nutters stabbing someone! Seems to me that people with a 'legitamate' use are always the one who suffer. Its all about getting a 'good profile' in the eyes of the voters. Whilst none of us want to see or hear of people getting killed by knife or gun any new laws wont change a bloody thing! I have a size 10 Opinel that I carry in my gun slip, when I reach my permisive shoot I take it out of the gun slip and put it in my pocket and take it with me on the shoot, what am going to paunch rabbits with a stick? I dont think anybody being sensible in rural areas carrying a knife will ever get in to bother with the law.
