threbb 0
Can,t be arsed to read all the pages, gets borin after a few . But i reckon its a hard one.. No one wants to maybe, lose or upset the permission owner. But on the other hand, what do you get out of killing stuff this time of year.. Shite all, but people do and think they have good dogs etc.. Had permission for years that has been passed on through the family, and no farmer has ever begged me for pest control out of season.. Not sayin they dont, but each to there own...At last one of the old school. Not really!!!!!! the blokes who got me started in the dog game were old school and you'd never find them on the likes of a hunting site, spouting shit about how good the dogs were and you certainly wouldn't find them spouting shit on the moral high ground as you seem to be so intent on doing........so much for united we stand.......... Priceless! You never think before saying anything.Keep it coming mate I know you must have more YOU`RE FULL OF IT. Quote Link to post
threbb 0
Can't believe so many people have took the bait .. must be the heat .. round of appluse for thrreb i've tried to hold off, but its just got too much............. i've got numpties i have to work with, that give me shit all the time about hunting, cos they're veggies and anti hunting meat eaters, and they dont even put up as much resistance as threbb............ set the fuckers up . .get them all sacked lol You wouldn't believe the shitty things that have happened over the years..... some quite funny, like computer printed pics of a baby rabbit saying "you killed my mum" underneath, amusing to say the least....then other little things stuck up on staff notice boards, stating L.A.C.S....We know what you do and where you live.....complete classic........ just for fun in retaliation, i put up a sign saying " if i torture and kill innocent animals, imagine what i'll do to you??" just for fun obviously!!!! next thing i know i've got a copy of the bullying and harrassment policy in my draw!!!!!!!! unbelievable!!!!! when i told my manager about it and the fact that the said document being put there in itself was bullying and harrassment, i was told its prob just a bit of harmless fun........ SOUNDS LIKE AN EPISODE OF" THE OFFICE".ARE YOU DAVID BRENT? Quote Link to post
LDR 29
Seems like someone is trying to keep their thread going........ dont beat yourself up about it threbb, alot of people do that when they cant think of anything else to say......... ......... david brent i a legend so i'll take it as a compliment....... .......... i'm not gonna give this post any more bumps for you as i'm sure its pretty much at deaths door, and in a few hours it'll be dropping into the archives of another shitty pointless post, by a gobshite who has nothing of any relevance to say....i'll keep my eyes peeled for your old school hunting related topics in a few months mate.........if you have any.............. pointer 543
just because i would hunt rats and rabbits in the summer dosent mean i dont go out more in the winter.i dont go along with the idea that all summer dog work is easy,i dont lamp in summer but with the hay and crop fields at waist height we catch less rabbits on a mooch out than what we do in winter. as for giving things a sporting chance thats not a clear cut argument.ill catch rabbits in winter using nets that have no chance at all.lets face it a few might slip the net or bolt from an unseen hole but the majority of rabbits in a set will be caught.they have no chance but we still enjoy it dont we. i started shooting a few rabbits with the air-rifle last week and i missed more young uns than big ones.i think its because the smaller ones offer a smaller target as do small rats. i dont mind anyone saying that summer hunting is wrong, thats ok maybe they are right, but no-way am i a fair weather hunter.we might not always catch anything but a day without seeing dogs work, even if its just an hours bushing or a mooch round a farm after the odd rat is a really shit day. i wont stop hunting in march untill september, rightly or wrongly theres no-way im spending six months doing nothing.its just too long.with working fulltime i can only fit in a night or two lamping and saturday and sunday in the proper season.when the moons full that only leaves the weekend.it wouldnt be enough Quote Link to post

"David Brent is a legend" He is a character who everyone laughs at for being a pratt and you are proud to be likened to him? Actually I think you are a bigger legend than he is.For a pointless post you havnt half made a lot of effort or are you getting Garreth to do the typing for you. Quote Link to post

Guest ooty
i dont think cymag was removed because of it being oderless as its not. open the tin and its smells a bit like almonds. if i remember right it was becuse sorex didn't want to re-liecence it . all poisons ect have to keep getting re regestered this somtimes becomes more trouble than its worth , and also it costs thousands and thousands, this has to be out weighed agianst the profit from the poduct. my mistake then.never used it my dad did, used to have a long stick with a spoon taped to the end, lucky man no to know what it smells like and still be posting.ooh poor farmers, how they must wish they never owned all that land them big expencive tractors, new four wheel drives and free govenment money for doing f**k all.id moan aswell Edited July 17, 2008 by ooty Quote Link to post

BenBhoy 4,706
really it all comes down to whether or not your doing this as sport or as pest control. for me it's sport. as hard as i go at it when the nights are cold and dark, during the spring summer i love to go out and just watch, see whats about. i have a real love/hate relationship with charlie fox. (acutally, just love/love!) Quote Link to post
Guest gaz100604
i was brought up to respect the quarry out of season lamping digging were a no no. but we used to have a few "walks" in the evening do a bit of bushing in the evening 9/10 times would prove fruitless you may get odd rabbit i found nothing wrong with this. but as for going for a dazzle nailing cubs and 20+ bunnies it was drilled into me as a no go area now for me almost 12 years later reentering the hunting game after the season closes for me thats that.
