i've tried to hold off, but its just got too much............. i've got numpties i have to work with, that give me shit all the time about hunting, cos they're veggies and anti hunting meat eaters, and they dont even put up as much resistance as threbb............

You wouldn't believe the shitty things that have happened over the years..... some quite funny, like computer printed pics of a baby rabbit saying "you killed my mum" underneath, amusing to say the least....then other little things stuck up on staff notice boards, stating L.A.C.S....We know what you do and where you live.....complete classic........ just for fun in retaliation, i put up a sign saying " if i torture and kill innocent animals, imagine what i'll do to you??" just for fun obviously!!!! next thing i know i've got a copy of the bullying and harrassment policy in my draw!!!!!!!! unbelievable!!!!! when i told my manager about it and the fact that the said document being put there in itself was bullying and harrassment, i was told its prob just a bit of harmless fun........

But on the other hand,what do you get out of killing stuff this time of year.. Shite all, but people do and think they have good dogs etc.. Had permission for years that has been passed on through the family, and no farmer has ever begged me for pest control out of season.. Not sayin they dont, but each to there own...

i'd say if someone has a dog that can kill at this time of year consistantly, it'll be pretty good....seeing as everywhere round here is too long to even see your dogs, ground too hard, weather too hot....blah blah blah, etc etc etc!!!

Yeah.. My bull terrier bitch has caught half grown rabbits at this time of year,Walking in the early evenings. But never in the winter.. Shes nearly 25 kgs and runs like a brick. All i can say, is you must have some champs in your kennell... Let us know when ya next litters due Ive worked on farms and grew up in the country all my life..

agree 100% with threbb.morons living in my locality are out lamping most nights.thinking they re hard men cause they re killing cubs.they cant understand why their dogs have knocked up toes and injuries from hard ground.these townies have nt a clue,also they seem to think they have great terriers cause they can kill a few cubs underground.dont seem to hunt during the winter months at all.funny thing is they all have the best dogs.cant see the sport myself.

rabbit and fox are vermin so i agree with killing them whenever, hares if are sparce in a place them i would let them breed but if the place is bad and theyve become a pest then they need controlled the thing i dont aggre on is people running lurchers on female roe deer at this time of year as the roe kid is left to starve if in a large wooded plantation and is licensed to with a rifle then again its become a pest and normally (in my experience shooting deer and working with stalkers) they will shoot the roe kid (s) at the same time so nothings left to starve i definetly do not agree on people running dogs on female deer in the summer.

i dont agree foxs or rabbits there young should be left to there own devices call it common ground let them have there summer too get the numbers up it can only benifit.

I do wonder if these people who are moaning about keeping rabbits under control all year round actually drink milk, eat meat etc its harder enough at the moment trying to earn a living from farming in this country as it it, with out hundreds/thousands of rabbits eating away at your profits/buisness.

Sorry to moan about this but our farm is our livelyhood, we are not benefit scroungers just honest hard working people try to earn a decent living.

your right i do a bit of rifle shooting, also have terriers, waiting on a lurcher pup, go out with lurchers often also go out with harris hawks and i do a lot of ferreting, dont give a f**k if you think riflemen are the biggest vermin to me youve just told me without sayin it that your a dickhead thats narrow minded and cause i dont like something you obviously do you think you can comment on me, i agree with everything else riflemen and lurchermen, terriermen, huntsmen etc etc do but running a dog on an out of season roe doe and leave her kid to starve is very bad crack in my opinion, then you hear them say that lands bare theres fuckall on it and you think to yourself well why the f**k is there nothing on it.......... you may look at it different, thats my opinion n theres fuckall youll say or do to change it.

riffle men a terrier mans nightmare theres a guy round where i am from killying cubs end of july he took 95 foxes kast year tell me this them cubs are as stupid as u will get what buzz are there in shooting them or should i say what skill

Until I came on this site I never realised how many people not only lamp it seems all spring and summer but also are not in anyway ashamed of it or make any attempt to keep it quiet. To me its a matter of playing fair and letting the quarry rear there young and live the good life until battle commences once again in the autumn.I suppose some of them are fare weather men.The real winter just to much them.What possible good can come from killing during the breeding season?

 

 

well as for lamping in the closed season as you put it .on rabbit their is not one look it up and you will find an awnswer .rabbits breed almost year round now with all the changes in weather .and rabbits are a pest that need controll if you saw some of my permission me being their 7 days a week wouldnt iradicate them and all they do is ruin the landowner land he works for a living

tHERE IS NO SEASON ON HARE OR FOX EITHER AND I WILL SAY AGAIN IAM TALKING ABOUT SPORT NOT CONTROL.KEEP UP
