are they all AWD or some switchable?

the legacy DL was selectable 4wd, but now all the later models are permanant 4wd with hi and low box, except for auto's and turbos, these are just permanant 4wd high........

forresters are good cars like all subaru's really, good strong reliable engines, except for the 2.5 models like the outback, they seem to blow head gaskets for fun....

a lot of the early forresters look "sat" on the back end, this is because the back struts have failed, or were weak, but i think this has been corrected in later models.......

Super motors, very reliable, deer to run :whistling: ....I mean petrol...I had a 2.0L GL classic w plate legacy estate, over 3 years it cost me £600 that included tyres, breaks and mots..... I consider that very cheap motoring for the type of car it was,...fooking comfy,Air con...............................................

even Tomo fell asleep going to Yorkshire in it!!!!

it had the high/low selector, never got stuck, even loaded with a ton of logs it went through the sh.t ok..shame it had to go.....but needs must....... :whistling:

proper dog wagons............... :victory:

p.s the 4x4 does hammer the clutches a hell of a lot,,,more than MC Hammer ever could :tongue2: ... so be prepared to pay around the £500 mark to get it sorted... :whistling:

Heres my super dooper 2.0L dog wagon...

cheers Millie.. :big_boss:

lucky is there any way of upgradeing the springs/shocks on the forester? we have just bought a 99/T for the dogs and it is down on the ass end? cheers lee

i think subaru have improved them now, but i'm not sure where you would purchase some heavy duty ones from.....a set of new standard ones should do the job...
