parkstone 24
Yep take your time, get the basics in place (recal ect) never raise your voice to a whippet as thats the quickest way to ruine one. once old enough take it were there a plenty of rabbits and if bred/reared the right way it will teach you more than you can teach it. good luck with the pup. kvnmcwebn 0
Ive read they are the smartest of the long dogs but Ive never owned a running dog so id like something to compare them to. How intelligent are they compared with a herding type? Or a jack russell? Quote Link to post

marko 30
also take into account they can be stubborn and headstrong while hunting up so can take a while getting a young dog back, patience is the key then more patience you wont go far wrong with a whippet good luck mate. Quote Link to post
Pennymeadow Whippets 0
Take it steady don't rush your pup & you will get back all you put in to your pup. Also a link to The Working Whippet Forum http://blackwhippet.**"£$%^&*(101.com/index.cgi? Quote Link to post

That can be a problem especialy with bitch's between around 6-12 months they go through a stage of i'll do what I want. time, kindness & patiance will be rewarded Quote Link to post
