ive just watched this dvd (thanks staffman) i was bought up in the midlands in the 60s and 70s and have often told the lads here about the cracking fox dogs i had in the uk after watching this dvd was i surprised it seems the dogs now are worse than then if this is the best you blokes can offer after 30 plus years thank feck i came here

it took 2 or more big heavy dogs to knock off poor old brer in almost every ocasion they were slow andcouldnt turn on a fecking freeway geeze but they were pretty

PLEASE someone tell me these aint good representation of pommie foxdogs i owned a pure whippet that did better than these and no he didnt get chewed all the time either

considering imo these dogs originated in uk its disapointing to know our dogs are better

I got given this DVD and wasn't at all impressed with it, sorry wasn't impressed with the dogs on it. That's not my thing though, I am a lamping man and i've seen much better DVDs with lamping foxes with lurchers.

I thought this dvd got rave reviews a while back on here? Is it the one with merle collie crosses in it?

Yes i think thats it, my mate seen it and said it was good. Its all day stuff, where the dogs have to

find+ catch, and catching a fox in the day is 100% harder than in the night. They use two dogs,

so what, most lamping foxes dvd's ive seen are two dogs. Its in natural form, getin out there

and having some sport, and thats what its all about :whistling: . And if he thinks colliexs are crap

for finding+catching, apart from [staghounds ]whats he got any better.???? dont say [kelpie ACD] xs

because they no worse or better than good border colliex

Ive had the pleasure of hunting with skippy in the past and he has and has had some very handy one out daytime foxdogs, and while he does own stags the ones Iam speaking of are no more than 25 or 26 to the shoulder.

Can anyone find the original link to the topic as I cant find it?

If I remember rightly the main thing people were saying was that they were impressed with the way the dogs found and hunted out the foxes and the distance they covered etc but not with how long they took to kill them and the fact they were doubled up, I think thats right anyway. I havent seen it but it sounds like it could be worth a watch as anything that involves watching dogs finding and hunting up their own quarry is of interest to me. Has anyone got a good quality copy?
